**Flat Rate Repair Policy
You must purchase the repair in advance and fill out the RMA FORM we send you before shipping your Avionics to Avionics Masters!
When you ship the radio include the RMA form you receive from AvionicsMasters.com
With regard to panel mounted radios & Transponders please insure there is additional packing material protecting the face plates and Knobs ( some aircraft radio knobs sell for over $200 used). We have received many items that have been beaten up due to insufficient packing material.
Some avionics can have a failed component that makes the unit beyond economical repair. If you purchase one of our flat rate repairs and your avionics has a failed component that does not qualify the unit for this service we will return the unit and refund your purchase cost in total, less any shipping charges, a savings of from $90.00 to $270.00, depending on the type of avionics, the customary charge for a bench check,. This price for a repair was derived by analyzing our repair history and we found that the Median bill for repairs to these radios was just under the flat rate charge. This means that half the radios sent for repair cost less than the flat rate cost we established. We set a cut off maximum repair of 20% above the Flat Rate Price, with the consideration that quite a few radios cost us less to repair. This gives our customers an excellent value. Granted some radios cannot be repaired for the flat rate price but you do receive a bench check regularly $90 to $270 for the cost of return shipping, an excellent value. Should your Avionics not meet the criteria for flat rate repair, which is Rare and you do not wish to have it repaired you may also purchase a refurbished replacement unit as an exchange with some value credited for your core.
We do repairs, not restorations, if your Avionics was working and has suddenly failed or is not working satisfactorily send the unit in for repair. If your radio has been sitting in the back of your hanger for a while we may be able to fix it, but would prefer you send it in for evaluation. Call or email us for info on evaluations.
